Great Deep Conditioner Recipes :)

Great Deep Conditioner Recipes :)

I have tired two wonderful deep conditioners over the past few years! Both recipes have a base
conditioner that has added oils to boost it’s effectiveness! Also these recipes will not break your piggy bank!

Shea Moisture Recipe:

-scope a handful of Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque in a bowl (more for longer hair)
-2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
-1-2 tablespoon(s) of jojoba oil

After shampooing…Mix the ingredients together and leave on the hair for 30 mins to an hour
(add heat, if desired). Rinse out! 🙂 Very simple!

* This recipe leaves my hair very soft with a nice shine.*

Trader Joes Recipe:

-5-6 tablespoons of Nourish Spa Conditioner
-3-4 tablespoons of coconut oil (either melted or in the solid form)
-2-3 tablespoons of jojoba oil or Beautiful Curls (Shea Butter & Rosemary Shining Curl Oil)

*This recipe leaves my hair very soft! Also it detangles my hair very well, before I place styling products on my hair.

I hope this helps! 🙂

Products Used:

1). Any shampoo and conditioner of your choice: I used the Carol’s Daughter Rosemary Mint Clarifying Shampoo and Trader Joe’s Nourishing Spa Conditioner.
2). Carol’s Daughter Monoi Repairing Hair Mask: To give my hair a protein treatment before blow drying.

3). Carol’s Daughter Chocolat Blow Dry Cream: Use this for aiding in blow drying my hair. It made my hair smooth and frizz free.

4). Carol’s Daughter Macadamia Heat Protection Serum: Use this product before flat ironing my hair.  It gave my hair an extra boost of protection and fighting frizz.

5). Mizani Heat Protection Thermasmooth Guard:  Spray this at the ends of my hair only due to them being more frizzy.

6). Carol’s Daugther Hair Balm Liquid Pomade:  Use this product to add shine, before putting my hair in bantu knots.

Moisture (not moisturizing 1-very moisturizing 10): I would give this product a 10.  It has to be one of the most moisturizing butters that I have used during my 2 years being natural.  This will be my staple product for butters and the “C” part of the LOC method.  It does not weigh down your hair and it leaves my hair VERY soft.  It does not elongate my hair, but it does keep my hair defined after being stretched.

Usage: You do not need to use a lot of this product to be effective.  I usually use this product for my LOC method.  To re moisturize my hair for my night routine, I use the Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk.
